Aside from a few superficial handling marks in the wall of the glass, it's in excellent condition - no damage. Black Old Harper glasses are very rare (unlike the usual white-frosted ones) and the reason seems obvious after having seen two of them. The black pigment did not adhere to the underlying "glue", which can be seen in denuded regions. The pigment has flaked in multiple places, leaving a ghosted etched image beneath. |
