LOCK BOX 290. (arched, with a long tail on the 9) / REGISTERED / DAYTON.O.U.S.A. (reverse arched) (Below "Lockbox" is a frosted picture of a horseshoe over a barrel and wheat sheaves to left and right, with stalks showing between the feet of the shoe. Horseshoe has tsp letters TRADE MARK with 1866 within a rectangular outline and between the two words "Trade Mark". Barrel end has HAYNER in large tsp letters, a tsp rectangle with a horizontal line beneath the "AY" of "HAYNER", and a tsp rectangle with 3 tsp dots in it to lower right - they look to be a small heart with a dot over it, an old English S, and the letter 9?) |
Dimensions:
|
2-7/16" x 1-7/8" x 1-5/8" |
Condition: |
The wall of the glass shows stress lines that I associate with age, and contains several large, trapped bubbles. The label is in nice condition - probably acid etched. This may be an older Lockbox. |
