Collected below are links to pages
that can be helpful in researching brand names and their owners.
Links to Bottle Sites:
AntiqueBottles.com
is an informational web site devoted to bottle
collecting with many links of use to shot glass
collectors. Unfortunately most of the links are
out-of-date, but still worth a visit.

The
Federation of Historical Bottle Collectors maintains a website with many useful
bottle-collecting links.
John Sullivan runs a
website devoted to miniature
bottles (http://www.minivodkaguy.com). His main
passion is vodkas but he has several pages of pre-pro whiskies (click
here to jump to page 1). Here you'll find many
familiar names and colorful labels. He also has a
collection of mini whiskey jugs (click
here). Even if a strictly "glass-only"
collector, these pages may be useful for helping track down
the origins of a glass in your collection.

The
Little
Rhody Bottle Club maintains an online directory of bottles
from Rhode
Island with useful embedded information on originators of
bottles and their street addresses. There is also a
research
page which provides more detailed information about many
of the old RI liquor wholesalers, distillers and
rectifiers.
Links to Other Sites of Interest
The Virtual Corkscrew Museum may not sound as
if it would be of interest to a shot collector, but there are several pages devoted to
pre-pro bullet and bottle corkscrews with useful information on distillers of origin. Click
here to drop in and take a look. (view
