Est. 1864. "Importer and Jobber in foregn and domestic wines & liquors" (1874, p. 564). An ad in the 1875 directory shows Fee Bros. to be James Fee, Owen F. Fee, John C. Fee and Joseph H. Fee. By 1884, Owen has left the company, leaving James Fee, John C. Fee and Joseph H. Fee. This and subsequent directories had full picture display ads, including their "Mammoth Wine and Liquor House". They also list a New York address, 11 Barclay St. By 1895, James Fee, Pres. and Treas., and John C. Fee, Secretary, are owners. Established 1864 (1897), Incorporated 1901. 1903: Proprietors of the Genesse Valley Vineyard and Winery. 1911: Our Specialties: "Sherwood Rye, Tom Moore Rye, Hermitage Rye and Baltimore Rye".
The Buffalo directories list a James Fee from 1897 to 1908. Snyder (WBr) records a "Mammoth" brand being used by James Fee & Bro.
In 1892, they apparently had a stake in the S P Lancaster distillery, (RD #415, 5th District) Bardstown, KY.

My copies are restricted to distillers & rectfiers only, no wines or liquors, although the copies include full display ads from all years and some of these include liquor dealers. There was a city-wide street renumbering in or about 1883.
