Est. 1869.
Benjamin F Hollenbach, who had clerked for George W. Hughes, established a wholesale liquor store with Daniel Dietrich in 1869. In 1900 they acquired Hughes' building at 805 Penn St and remained there until Prohibition. Barrels of whiskey, rum and brandy lined the walls and the customer could try them out before purchasing. In early days a dollar could fill a gallon jug.

A letterhead dated 1904 showed the company as "successors to E.E. Jones", with Jones a part of the company, along with Howard Dietrich and B F Hollenbach.

Hollenbach died in 1915. By 1918, the company is recorded as consisting of Howard Dietrich, President, C. D. Dietrich, Secretary and Chas. S Becker, Treasurer.

In 1918, Dietrich converted the business into a drug store and operated it until he died in 1940 (OASG).

The company used the brand names:
"Hodico Brand", and "Social Rye."
