A letterhead dated 1888 shows Cook & Co. to consist of Edward N Cook and Gustav Fleishmann. It also shows them to own two distilleries. No. 1 (the "grain distillery") was located at Spring, Champlin, Tousey & Mortimer Streets, No. 2 (the "rum" distillery) at Pratt, William & Spring Streets.

Cook & Co apparently continue trading under the name of the Buffalo Distilling Co. until at least 1918.

The company used the brand names:
"Cooks Rye", "Four - Cel", "Frontier Pure Rye", "Golden Grain", "Pure Rye Malt Gin", and "Rye Malt."
