A celluloid-backed sharpening stone from the Morrin-Powers Mercantile Co. of Kansas City, MO. The stone is held in a metal backing. The backing is covered with celluloid and contains company information and the image of a buffalo. The latter refers to the Buffalo Springs Distillery of Stamping Ground, KY., which the company owned. It measures 2-3/4" x 1-3/4".
