A pencil in a plated brass case, advertising "Quaker Maid" whiskey from S Hirsch & Co., of Kansas City, MO. The case is stamped with the country of manufacture (GERMANY) and a decorative design on one side, the name of the whiskey and distiller on the other. It measures 3-3/8" in length, 3/8" in width, 1/8" in depth, and opens to reveal a flattened yellow pencil held in metal cap.
