A patented lock-stopper from the Hayner Distilling Co of Dayton, OH. The lock-stopper was designed to fit and lock into the neck of a back-bar decanter that has been molded with a ring to accept the locking mechanism. It is approximately 2" long and measures 1-1/4" across the face.
In this example, the face is inscribed with divisions at the numerals that extend only a short distance from the rim. It was mailed in a relatively flimsy box along with a glossy instruction sheet. The box measures 2-1/8" x 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" and mentions the Dayton, St. Louis, St. Paul, New Orleans and Jacksonville offices.
