An invoice dated July 31, 1916, addressed to Mr D(aniel) L Lee, 1204 Jay St., Gates, NY., from the Beech Hill Distilling Co., of Cincinnati, OH.

Mr Gates was most likely a wholesaler. The invoice is interesting in that it shows that the purchase of a barrel of Wadsworth AAA whiskey earned Mr Gates several free premiums to use in his establishment. In addition to a case of Wadsworth quarts (full), he also received a back-bar bottle, a decanter, 2 advertising signs, 100 quart-size bottles to be filled with Wadsworth from the barrel, 100 pint bottles, 100 1/2-pint bottles, and a supply of bottle labels.

The invoice measures 8-1/2" by 6" and was accompanied by an advertising flyer for Old "99" whiskey and two return envelopes.
