An amber glass bottle with a full paper label indicating that it once contained "Thos. Moore Possum Hollow Pure Rye Whiskey," Distilled & Bottled Under Government Supervision by The Thos. Moore Distilling Co. of McKeesport, PA. The bottle stands about 11-3/4" tall and has a capacity of one quart.

A label on the reverse contains a warning: CAUTION NOTICE: This bottle has been filled and stamped under the provisions of an act of Congress approved March 3, 1897 entitled: "An act to allow the bottling of distilled spirits in bond". Any person who shall reuse this bottle for the purpose of containing distilled spirits without removing and destroying the stamp affixed to this bottle, or who shall reuse the stamp affixed to this bottle, will be liable for such offense to a fine of not less than one hundered dollars and not more than one thousand dollars, and to imprisonment for not more than two years.
