A clear glass flask that still contains "Dougherty's Private Stock Pure Rye Whiskey", from J A Dougherty Son's Inc. of Philadelphia, PA. The neck label notes that the whiskey was distilled in the Spring of 1913 and bottled in the Fall of 1931. It has a capacity of one pint. The label on the reverse shows that it was actually distilled by the New Hellam Distilling Co. (RD #26, 1st District of PA), whose product was sent to the Dougherty concentration warehouse in Philadelphia. The rear also identifies the contents as "Rx Spiritus Frumenti, 100 proof", or medicinal whiskey for sale by prescription only.
