A clear, tooled-top bottle with fluting around the neck and base that is characteristic of the Hayner Distilling Co. of Dayton, OH. The bottle is one quart size, 12" high and 3-1/4" across the base. It is shown with a label indicating the contents to be "Special Pride" brand whiskey.

The rear of the bottle is embossed with text: "HAYNER / WHISKEY / DISTILLERY / TROY, OHIO and there is a paper label that guarantees product quality. Embossing on the base reads : DESIGN PATENTED / NOV 30th 1897. The label at front reads: HAYNER / STRAIGHT / WHISKEY / SPECIAL PRIDE and lists offices in Dayton, St. Louis, St. Paul, Jacksonville, and New Orleans.
