OUR NEXT PRESIDENT (arched above a frosted oval outline enclosing an etched image of a bearded man in head-and-shoulders portrait)

ID#: RRP3562
How do I buy this glass?
see details below
Glass Category:Liquor advertising
Glass Type:Thin-walled shot
Label Type:Acid-etched
Dimensions:2-5/8" x 2-1/8" x 1-5/8"
Edmonson:Not listed
Notes:
The man depicted on the glass appears to be Benjamin Harrison. He was 23rd President of the US, serving a single term from 1889 to 1893. This glass must have come from the Presidential campaign, dating it to 1888 and making it one of the earliest known political shots? It is acid-etched and looks to be the work of George Truog. Truog later (1893) founded the Maryland Glass Etching Works, Cumberland, MD.
