The Cincinnati directories have a Wm Berkele Distilling Co. listed at the SE cor 3 rd & Vine from 1906 to 1908. How this is related to Rosenthal is uncertain, but they are shown at the same address during this time period. Rosenthal & Sons date back to 1871, but under this name from 1898-1918.

The 64th and 66th annual reports of the Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce list Charles H Rosenthal and Meyer S Rosenthal as being associated with this company in 1912 and 1914.

The company acquired the W H Head distillery in 1907 to produce their various brands.
