Insurance underwriter records compiled in 1892 suggest that the distillery was frame construction. It was located on Buck Creek, 1-1/4 m from the mouth of the creek. The property two bonded warehouses: Warehouse No. 1 -- frame with a shingle roof, located 40 ft west of the still. This warehouse was due to be removed. Warehouse No 2 -- frame with a metal or slate roof, located 100 ft west of the still. At that time, it was being operated by W M Bogie, late Calvin East. |
