The Warwick Distillery |
Insurance underwriter records compiled in 1892 suggest that the distillery was of built of bricks with a metal or slate roof. The property included cattle pens, located 100 ft south of the still house, and two warehouses: Warehouse A -- brick construction with a metal or slate roof, located 35 ft west of the still and 32 ft from neighboring Silver Creek distillery. Warehouse B -- iron-clad construction, located 100 ft west of the still. At the time, the still was being operated by Burnam, Bennett & Co. 1906: the distillery was sold to the Bernheim Distilling Co. It continued to operate it until Prohibition under the Bernheim name or that of the company's successors.. |
