Insurance underwriter records compiled in 1892-1896 suggest that the distillery was destroyed by fire in December 1894. The bonded warehouse was saved. It was of frame construction with a shingle roof, 101 ft west of the still. At that time, it was operated by John W Moores, late S A Garrett & Co. |
