Insurance underwriter records compiled in 1892 suggest that the distillery had a capacity of less than 30 gallons and was located near in or near New Fruit in Hardin country. The property included a single bonded warehouse, also of frame construction with a shingle roof, 60 ft SW of the still. At that time, it was owned by Popham & Stoner. It is possible that the RD# or district was incorrectly noted in the insurance records, or perhaps the RD# was reassigned.
