Insurance underwriter records compiled in 1892 suggest that the distillery was of frame construction and the grounds included two bonded warehouses: Warehouse A -- frame construction and a shingle roof, 190 ft NE of the still. : Warehouse B -- frame construction and a shingle roof, set 6 ft apart from Warehouse A and 175 ft NE of the still. In 1892, the still was owned by Scott & Gayles, dba "Owen County Distilling Co.", late F W Jordan. |
