Insurance underwriter records compiled in 1892 suggest that the distillery was of frame construction and the grounds housed hogs in pens to dispose of the by-products of fermentation. The property included a single bonded warehouse which was then new and iron-clad. It was located 160 ft north of the still. The property included an older free warehouse with a frame construction and a shingle roof, 300 ft NE of the still. At that time, the still was owned by J L Lee, late N W Lee. |
