The Grove Distillery was the first distllery acquired by The Woolner Distilling Co. The Woolner brothers purchased it in 1871 from Richard Gregg. This was the first of many distilleries (plus a brewery) that the brothers controlled, including The Atlas. The Grove distillery suffered a major explosion in 1901, as shown in the photo below.
