Schweyer is listed in directories from 1877-1918, first as just John Schweyer, then John Schweyer & Co. from 1889 to Prohibition. They were located at 609-613 W 12 th (1887-1908), becoming 1452-1458 W 12 th around 1909 with street renumbering. Schweyer's "Arcola" brand whiskey was supplied by the Old Darling distillery of Prestonville, KY.
