Hall, Luhrs & Co. listed from 1884-1908. Thomas (PCSF) dates the company 1882-1917. He reports that the company originated with Louis B Mohr and Charles A Yoerk. They were located on 316 J St in 1871, moving to 228-230 K St by 1880. In 1882, the business added wholesale liquors to its trade and renamed itself, with Charles A Luhrs and Thomas B Hall as the senior partners. Liquors were removed from the business in 1918 but the company continued until 1928.
