By 1880, he's listed as a Grocer at 409 S 2nd and he's living in the city on 3 rd St. In 1890, the business has moved to 102 Market and he's still there in 1900. In 1900, he's shown at 116 Pine, still a Grocer. When Prohibition was enacted, the listings for Boyd's liquor store cease (1919/1920, 1921) and there's only his home address, no occupation.
