S B Rothenberg Co. listed from 1899-1915. *Glass measurements have not been confirmed. The Old Judge brand was supposedly originated in 1857 by M.T. Mitchell (Snyder, 2007). Mida shows that it had been used since 1866 by Emil Stern's Son & Co. of NY. The brand was acquired in 1899 by S C Herbst, a Milwaukee wholesaler, who produced both Old Judge and Old Fitzgerald at RD #11, KY 7th district. Old Judge was distributed in the West by Sara Rothenberg and by her son, Samuel B. Rothenberg, who took over the business in 1898. The Gladstone brand was owned by Rosenfield Bros & Co of Chicago, IL, 1891-1818, who also owned the Sunny Brook Distillery in Louisville, KY.
