Cartan, McCarthy & Co. listed from 1873-1919. *Glass measurements have not been confirmed. According to Thomas (WB), Frank M Cartan and Timothy F McCarthy established a business at 513 Sacramento St. in the autumn of 1873 and it continued until 1919. The partnership dissolved in 1900 with Frank remaining in charge. Henry Cartan (son of the original) took over c. 1908. Brand names used by this company include: "Wood's Castlewood."
