Holihan Bros. listed from 1900. *Glass measurements have not been confirmed. OASG reports that the grocery and liquory business was established in 1856 by Peter and Patrick Holihan. Patrick died in 1882 and the business was continued by Davis & Murphy. In 1890, the Holihan Bros. (James P., Joseph P and Charles A. Holihan) took back control, the business now located at Common & Hampshire Streets. They were famous for their Diamond Spring beers, produced at their own brewery located at the corner of Andover & Beacon Sts.
