This past week saw the last of a spectacular series of glasses put up for sale by itsnfs8.  I've never seen so many pristine picture glasses offered a single seller.  As Pam says in her listing, these were truly "Investment Grade"  and it's not surprising that they commanded premium prices.  This last batch was no exception.  Not only did it include a rare Mountain Elk,  there was also a Morgan Special, which is this week's SOTW.  

So where does this glass come from?  Well, although there's no city or state information on the glass to give is a clue, it's most likely from The Morgan Distilling Co.  of Kansas City, MO.  They operated from at least  1901 until Prohibition and are well-known for their "Its Pure That's Sure Morgan's Maryland Rye"  glasses.

The glass was picked up early by too-hot he was then decapitated by  a single blow from newcomer daisylove3.  Golden_scythe then came in for a slice of action but the bid wasn't enough to  do anything other than make daisylove3 add to his stake.  Steelglass also tried his hand, forcing daisylove3 into the triple digits.  There it stood until junkmoney eased the pain with a killer blow and took  it for $102.50.

Now here's the kicker - Pam and Bob have been selling off a collection that they bought from a friend.  Not all of it, mind you, just the -- gulp -- duplicates........ I may not sleep to well tonight
