Now who would have thought that this little glass would have been worth $132.39???  Not me for sure: I had less than $30 on it.  This was a sleeper if ever there was one. 

But Howard Currier (who was the winner) knows his glass like no-one else. Checking HSG (p. 93) shows that it comes from a wholesaler in Sacramento, CA.  CA glasses always come at a premium but this one is legendary because the originator's heirs were so ashamed of the family biz that they tried to destroy all evidence of its existence.  So this little jewel not only survived earthquakes, it also survived the hammer.
