The 1890 directory shows that this was the head office of The Goetzmann Distillery Co, distillery located in Freeport, Armstrong Co. PA (23 rd District). Distillers of Brookdale Rye. The following year adds the Spring Water Distillery Co. of Bowling Green, KY and the Ferncliff Distillery Co., Louisville, KY.
