The distillery was located near the fork of Elkhorn Creek on Georgetown Pike, 4 miles SE of Frankfort. 1869: According to Zoeller (2010), the first distillery on this site was built in 1869. In 1901, it was rebuilt by R A Baker, John D Hinde and Thomas Hinde and run as the Baker Bros. & Co. distillery. Sanborn map of the distillery, published in 1910: 1916: The distillery ceased operations. During Prohibition, the distillery was used as a concentration warehouse, bottling various brands for medical use only. |
